In collaboration with Anthill Fabrics, the lineup blends rugged waxed canvas with the rich textures and stories of Philippine weaves. Each bag, cap, vest, and apron is built for movement and made to last, while putting craftsmanship front and center. The result is gear that looks refined, feels purposeful, and works hard from commute to weekend.
“We wanted pieces grounded in culture but ready for real life,” shares co-founder Louie Poco. “They are tough enough for everyday use and layered with texture and narrative that invite conversation.” This direction mirrors Gouache’s utilitarian DNA, now elevated with handwoven panels that add depth without sacrificing durability.
The partnership directly supports weaving communities across the Philippines, many led by women and elders who preserve time-honored techniques. By placing Hablon and Kantarines fabrics in contemporary silhouettes, the collection positions traditional weaves as everyday essentials rather than occasional statements. Co-founder Ann Enriquez-Poco adds that the modern plaids and stripes felt fresh and current, making a natural match with Gouache’s signature totes, slings, and vests. Beyond color, the textiles bring rhythm and warmth to each piece, giving every item a distinct character.
