Christmas in the Philippines puts family at the center. From a simple house in the province where visitors arrive with bibingka and puto bumbong to a city condo where friends swap baked treats, one thing never changes: the most heartfelt moments happen at home.
IKEA is celebrating this spirit with Filipino kitchens and dining rooms in the spotlight through the Flavors of Home Festival at the IKEA Store in Pasay City.

The kickoff gathered food lovers and home stylists who swapped ideas for holiday decor and shared crowd-pleasing seasonal recipes that are easy to recreate. Social media creators Icoy Rapadas, Grace Tanfelix, and Mitch Ngo (known as @thechinitafoodie) cooked festive dishes in a live demo that fits the party season. Interior designer Elle Uy also toured guests through kitchen and dining setups that anyone can pull off with pieces from IKEA’s Christmas collection.
Guests got an extra treat when singer-actress Angeline Quinto performed a moving rendition of Sharon Cuneta’s “Bituing Walang Ningning.” With sustainability as a core IKEA value, the song doubled as a playful reminder to bring home leftovers. In true Filipino fashion, the store resounded with joyful music courtesy of a philharmonic orchestra.
“The Filipino way of celebrating the season is centered on family and food at home. IKEA wants to make it more special with our affordable kitchen and dining range,” says Hervy Nicholas, IKEA Philippines Sales Leader. He adds that IKEA is driven by the joy of seeing all kinds of families enjoy pieces that are functional, beautiful, sustainable, and affordable.
A Kitchen Ready for Christmas
Budget-savvy cooks can make every prep session smooth with ANNONS, a five-piece stainless steel cookware set with glass lids. Priced at P699, it is a bestseller. Add a stainless steel trivet for only P69 to protect counters and tables. For slow simmers and rich sauces, reach for the non-stick KLIPPFISK sauté pan with lid (P1,999). If you need reliable frying pans, choose the IKEA 365+ stainless steel frying pan (P999) or the non-stick TAGGHAJ frying pan (P299). When friends drop by, a quick stir-fry in the HEMLAGAD wok with lid (P999) does the job, and the HEMLAGAD over-stove grill pan is ready for steaks and barbecues. With the December calendar packed, the six-liter IKEA 365+ pressure cooker (P3,999) becomes a time-saving staple for Sunday beef nilaga with the extended family.
A Table Made for Togetherness

After the cooking comes the best part. Make the move from the busy kitchen to a calm dining space with pieces that work beautifully together.
Start with greenery. The 15-cm POINSETTIA potted plant (P449) brings a festive touch. Scatter VINTERFINT mixed bauble glass (P499 for 8 pieces) or go all-gold with a 20-piece set (P599). For noche buena, keep the look timeless with the VINTERFINT side plate (P129) that features a subtle red rim. Prefer earth tones. SANDSKÄDDA (P129) delivers warmth, while HAVSGÄDDA (P129) adds translucent gray stripes for elegance. Pair them with the 49-cl STORSINT wine glass set of six (P799) and the IKEA 365+ carafe with cork stopper (P249).
Go bolder with full-size plates. PELARKAKTUS (P249) leans into deep greens inspired by the forest for a luxe table setting. The GLADELIG plate (P199) recalls the look of natural stone in dark gray. Balance all that color and texture with the STOLTHET cutting board (P599) that works as a cheese or dessert board. If the table fills up fast, roll over the three-layer RÅSKOG utility cart to hold extras without breaking the vibe.
The joy of Filipino Christmas feasts stretches beyond a single night. On Christmas Day, pull out plain and patterned bowls for breakfast cereals, then soup or salad for lunch. Keep the bounty fresh or ready to give away with the IKEA 365+ glass container with bamboo lid (P249, 34 oz).
