Day 2 of Manila Fashion Week 2025 kept the energy high at SM Aura Premier with consecutive showcases from OXGN and Chris Nick. The night celebrated the dual spirit of Filipino design, where bold street sensibilities stood alongside refined couture precision.

At Samsung Hall, OXGN leaned into its street-luxe DNA with a runway built on utility, rebellion, and easy cool. The interplay of textures and confident silhouettes carried a modern, global mood that remained firmly anchored in Filipino youth culture and individuality.
Later in the Fashion Tent, Chris Nick shifted the tone to sharp sophistication. His vision of modern femininity highlighted structure and sensuality through impeccable tailoring, statement fabrics, and sleek monochromes that framed the city’s current definition of glamour.

What inspired the theme of this collection and why present it for the inaugural season of MNL Fashion Week?
“We want to stay true to our roots, which is streetwear. This show is a re-introduction. Even with so many streetwear brands today, we are still here and still strong. We are here to share and push forward the streetwear aesthetic and the communities that build it.”
What do you hope audiences feel after your presentation?
“We want people to remember that no matter how different our experiences are, we all share a basic need to breathe, a need for oxygen. We hope everyone walks away feeling that shared connection and valuing it.”

What inspired the theme of your collection and why choose it for the inaugural season of MNL Fashion Week?
“It is inspired by the hedonistic things I love to do. This collection is sex club centric. The different shades of brown represent different skin tones and the ivory shades represent, you know. The tuxedo is always part of my work, so this season brings different variations mixed with contrasting elements. It feels like the right introduction for the inaugural season. It is polished and put together, elegant yet raunchy and sensual in the most CHRIS NICK way.”
What message do you want the audience to take away?
“That sex sells. It has never left fashion in my view. CHRIS NICK knows great sex and you should too.”
This night marked the second chapter in a four-day celebration of Filipino fashion and creativity.
