UNIQLO’s PEACE FOR ALL: A Global Photo Exhibition for a Better World

September 26, 2024

September 26, 2024

UNIQLO has just dropped something big, and it’s more than just stylish clothes! The PEACE FOR ALL Global Photo Exhibition has officially landed in Manila, and it’s open to the public at UNIQLO’s Global Flagship Store in Glorietta 5 until September 29, 2024. This collab with the legendary Magnum Photos brings together breathtaking images that tell real stories about the power of peace.

Photos That Speak Louder Than Words

The exhibition features over 60 stunning photos from Magnum photographers Cristina de Middel, Lindokuhle Sobekwa, and Olivia Arthur. They traveled to Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Romania, capturing moments of hope, peace, and resilience—showing how UNIQLO’s PEACE FOR ALL project has been making a real impact globally. The initiative has raised over JPY 1.5 billion (roughly USD 10 million) since 2022 through its charity T-shirt sales. These funds have been donated to international organizations like UNHCR, Save the Children, and Plan International.

As Reichelle Vergara, UNIQLO Philippines Head of PR and Sustainability, explained during the launch, “With the newest PEACE FOR ALL collaboration with Magnum Photos, not only do we provide customers with clothing they can rely on, but we also shine a light on how this project has contributed to bettering lives worldwide.”

Wear Your Support: New Charity T-Shirts

To go along with the exhibit, UNIQLO is rolling out three new PEACE FOR ALL T-shirt designs. Each shirt features images from the exhibition, showcasing humanitarian activities in Romania, Ethiopia, and Vietnam. You can grab these in-store or online and know that 100% of the profits are going to incredible causes. It’s fashion with a purpose—and you get to be part of it.

Maria Ermina Valdeavilla-Gallardo, Head of UNHCR Philippines, also expressed her gratitude for the collaboration: “We are thankful to UNIQLO for using their platform to raise awareness and provide support for global forced displacement. Together, we’re making a difference.”

So, if you’re in Manila, swing by and check out this powerful exhibition! Every image tells a story, and you can see firsthand the positive change that PEACE FOR ALL has brought to communities around the world. Plus, don’t forget to snag a T-shirt and rep the cause.
