Gentle Monster Reveals Its Second Intelligent Eyewear Design

July 23, 2026

July 23, 2026
Gentle Monster is bringing its fashion-first perspective into the next generation of wearable technology.

The South Korean eyewear brand has revealed the second design from its upcoming intelligent eyewear collection, developed in partnership with Google and Samsung Electronics. The collection combines cameras, microphones, speakers and Google Gemini within frames designed to look and feel like everyday eyewear.

The full collection will launch later in 2026.

Smart Technology in an Everyday Optical Frame

Following the first design reveal earlier this year, Gentle Monster has introduced a cleaner and more understated option.

The new frame features a structured square silhouette that stays close to the brand’s recognisable optical design language. Rather than looking like a traditional tech device, the eyewear blends its intelligent features into a familiar fashion accessory.

The campaign images feature models Alex Consani and Anok Yai wearing the frames. Captured by Éamonn Zeel Freel, the visuals present the design through Gentle Monster’s distinctive editorial style.

Behind the frame, however, sits a range of smart functions. Built-in speakers support music playback and voice calls, while an integrated camera allows users to capture photos without reaching for their phones.

The microphones also enable natural voice commands and hands-free access to Google Gemini. As a result, users can ask questions, receive contextual assistance and interact with information while remaining engaged with their surroundings.

What Gentle Monster’s Intelligent Eyewear Can Do

The eyewear works with Android devices, including Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones, as well as Apple iPhones. Users can access its features through voice commands and a companion mobile app.

In addition to calls, music and photography, the collection supports real-time translation and navigation. It can also provide relevant information based on what the wearer sees and experiences.

This approach reflects a wider shift in wearable technology. Instead of asking users to look down at another screen, intelligent eyewear aims to place digital assistance within their natural field of experience.

Gentle Monster has also designed the glasses for extended everyday use. The eyewear offers up to nine hours of battery life on one charge. Meanwhile, the charging case can provide at least seven additional full charges.

The collaboration marks Gentle Monster’s first move into intelligent eyewear. However, the brand’s involvement suggests that design will remain just as important as technology.

Since launching in 2011, Gentle Monster has built its identity around bold eyewear, experimental campaigns and immersive retail spaces. Through its partnership with Google and Samsung, the brand now brings that same creative direction into a category often led primarily by technical features.

With two designs revealed so far, the upcoming collection could offer a glimpse into a future where smart glasses feel less like gadgets and more like pieces people would genuinely choose to wear.
