Singapore’s iconic Tiong Bahru Bakery, loved for its buttery croissants and French pastries, is set to open this December in Philippines—and foodies can’t wait!

Who doesn’t love croissants? With its golden, flaky layers, buttery aroma, and that perfect melt-in-your-mouth crunch, it’s the ultimate pastry treat that’s hard to resist.

If you’re craving a croissant, we have exciting news! Singapore’s iconic Tiong Bahru Bakery is coming to the Philippines. It will be setting up shop in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) this December!

Here’s What We Know So Far About Tiong Bahru Bakery’s First Store Opening in the Philippines

Known for its signature croissants, pain au chocolat, Kouign Amann, and artisanal bread—not to mention its expertly brewed coffee—Tiong Bahru Bakery is a favorite among pastry lovers in Singapore. From classic French techniques to unique, flavorful twists, this bakery has redefined what it means to serve baked perfection. With 16 branches across Singapore and Malaysia, it’s become a staple for locals and travelers alike.

Now, you don’t need to book a flight to the Lion City to enjoy their famous pastries. Soon, you’ll be able to grab a croissant or two right here in Metro Manila. Imagine starting your day with a buttery treat, grabbing a snack to fuel your hustle, or indulging in dessert while catching up with friends—it’d be totally turning everyday moments into something special!

You might be asking if it’s just for the hype. For those who have already tried their signature croissants, nope, Tiong Bahru Bakery isn’t just about pastries. It’s the overall experience. From its cozy café vibes to its attention to detail in every bite, this bakery brings the charm of a neighborhood bakery with a contemporary twist.

And while their croissants are the stars, you can expect an extensive menu of other pastries and drinks that pair perfectly with your morning coffee or late-night tea.

Rumors are already swirling about whether they’ll bring their full Singaporean lineup to the Philippines or tweak their menu to suit Filipino palates. Will we see local flavors make their debut? Ube croissants, maybe? Fingers crossed!

Partnership for Expansion

The arrival of Singapore’s Tiong Bahru Bakery became known when Jollibee Food Corporation partnered with its parent company. This partnership aims to bring Tiong Bahru to the Philippines. This isn’t JFC’s first venture into Singaporean favorites. Last year, they also introduced Common Man Coffee Roasters, another crowd favorite, to the country.

According to JFC CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong, this expansion is part of their vision. They aim to bring diverse and premium brands to the local market. This will give Filipinos more reasons to indulge. It also strengthens JFC’s position for further growth in the Philippine market.

Tiong Bahru Bakery first Philippines location will be at BGC, and while the exact date hasn’t been confirmed, the buzz suggests we’ll be seeing the doors swing open this December. The signage is already up, and anticipation is at an all-time high.

So, whether you’re team classic croissant or team chocolate-filled, there’s something undeniably exciting about this new addition to the local food scene. Get ready to savor the buttery goodness that’s made Tiong Bahru a cult favorite.

Anybody ready for a kwosang run? See you at BGC! Tara?
