The opening of the first Philippine branch in BGC was graced by A-listers Anne Curtis, Sarah Lahbati, James Reid, Liza Soberano, Solenn Heussaff, Nadine Lustre, and the newest house ambassador, Ahn Hyo-Seop.

Even if you’re neither a fashion enthusiast nor a Crash Landing on You fan, it’s almost impossible not to be captivated by Gentle Monster’s whimsical spaces and exquisite Asian-inspired eyewear collections. This innovative South Korean eyewear brand has been creating ripples in the fashion and design world for its distinct style, pushing the boundaries of eyewear design to a new level.

Opening its doors in the Philippines, Gentle Monster’s presence in the country marks a significant milestone in its global expansion. On October 16, the luxury eyewear brand launched its Manila flagship store in Shangri-La The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The event was attended by Korean celebrities and influential figures from the local scene, offering them an exclusive, firsthand glimpse of the store’s captivating ambiance and displayed eyewear pieces.

Take a Look at Gentle Monster Store in Manila

With its imposing blinking eye display and colossal floating sculpture, Gentle Monster’s store is definitely impossible to overlook. Renowned for its surrealistic and visually striking store concepts, the Philippine outpost of the brand is no exception to the creative ingenuity that characterizes Gentle Monster worldwide.

Offering a truly distinctive and immersive retail experience, the presence of The Giant, perched atop a reimagined, architecturally deconstructed representation of FREDERIK HEYMAN’s 3D artwork, serves as a compelling testament to the brand’s commitment to delivering extraordinary encounters to its customers.

Founded by Jay Oh and Hankook Kim in 2011, Gentle Monster was purposefully crafted to cater to the Asian market by introducing oversized frames that are not only stylish but also designed to perfectly complement Asian facial features. Hence the low-bridged fit.

As Gentle Monster opens its doors in the Philippines, it’s not just about experiencing its innovative eyewear and creative retail spaces. In a delightful treat for Filipinos, the brand is offering an exclusive opportunity to grab the highly Manila-exclusive restock of their collaboration with the renowned French luxury house Maison Margiela. These highly-coveted pieces seamlessly marry Gentle Monster’s futuristic frames with classic black and white aesthetics, interwoven with the distinctive and iconic stitch logo of Maison Margiela.

Immerse yourself in the world of innovative eyewear and artistic experience by exploring Gentle Monster on 5th Avenue, BGC, Taguig City. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
