Ed Sheeran is Bringing the ‘Mathematics Tour’ to Manila in March 2024!

October 23, 2023

Calum Scott joins the English Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter at the Manila stop of the tour.

Good news, Sheerios! After five years of waiting, the hitmaker behind Perfect, Photograph, Shape of You, and Lego House is coming back to the Philippines for the Asia leg of the record-breaking ‘+ – = ÷ x’ Tour.

Kicking off the year in style, Ed Sheeran has a series of nine concerts lined up across Asia from January to March 2024. The tour begins in late January in Japan and then moves on to Taiwan, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and the Philippines before concluding the tour in India.

Here’s What You Need to Know About Ed Sheeran’s ‘+ – = ÷ x’ Tour in Manila

As of today, March promises to be an exceptional month, and the excitement is about to skyrocket as Ed Sheeran is all set to grace us with his sensational music at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City on March 9, 2024. And as if that’s not enough, You Are the Reason singer Calum Scott will be joining the Grammy and Brit Award-winning singer as a special guest, ensuring a truly memorable and magical musical experience.

To recall, Ed Sheeran first performed in Manila at the Mall of Asia Arena in 2015. This was followed by the Divide Tour, which was scheduled for November 2017 but was moved to April 2018 because of a cycling injury. In an interview, the British singer explicitly shared his love for Filipino fans because of how they made him feel special. “No other place on Earth has fans like the Philippines. The first time I came to the Philippines, and I’ve never ever felt that much love from a place ever. The passion that they have for music, there’s nowhere else in the world that has this sort of pandemonium—it’s the first time I actually felt like a star. I love it. It really makes me feel special.”

The 2018 concert at the SM MOA Concert Grounds was a sold-out success. That’s why the anticipation is soaring for Ed Sheeran’s upcoming Mathematics Tour. As per concert organizer Ovation Productions, tickets will go on sale starting October 26 at 12 p.m. via ovationtickets.com and smtickets.com.

This year, Ed Sheeran released not one but two albums: Subtract (March) and Autumn Variations (September), in collaboration with Aaron Dessner from The National. These albums are a poignant expression of the profound emotions he’s experienced in response to the impactful events that have unfolded in his life recently, including the death of his dear friend, Jamal Edwards.

The Asia leg of his world tour followed his triumphant European tour and record-breaking shows in the USA, where he achieved the highest single-day concert attendance ever recorded in the country.  Alongside his successful concerts, Ed also released a documentary series titled The Sum of It All on Disney+, offering a rare and intimate insight into his personal life.

Get ready to dance and sing along with Ed Sheeran with ‘eyes closed’ this 2024, and mark your calendars for the ticket sales opening on October 26.
