Shop Local Art and Relive School-Day Nostalgia at Makers Festa

August 6, 2026

August 6, 2026
School is back in session, but this time, creativity is part of the curriculum.

Makers Festa Class of 2026 is taking over Gimenez Gallery at UP Diliman, Quezon City, on August 15 and 16. The annual art market will bring together 120 Filipino artists, illustrators, makers and creative small businesses for a weekend of local art, community and school-inspired nostalgia.

Visitors can shop for original artwork, prints, stickers, stationery, ceramics, accessories, apparel and handmade pieces while meeting the creatives behind them.

Meet Local Artists and Discover One-of-a-Kind Finds

Held only once a year, Makers Festa has grown into more than a shopping destination. It gives artists and art lovers a space to meet, exchange ideas, and celebrate the growing Filipino creative scene.

Visitors can discover emerging talents, reconnect with their favourite artists and explore new creative interests. Meanwhile, collectors and stationery fans can browse a wide mix of locally made pieces that may not be available through regular retail stores.

This year’s back-to-school theme adds a playful twist to the experience. School-inspired decorations, classroom aesthetics and nostalgic details will transform the gallery into a campus where art takes centre stage.

Artists and attendees are also encouraged to arrive in their best school-themed outfits, bringing the Class of 2026 concept to life throughout the weekend.

More Than an Art Market

Beyond browsing the booths, Makers Festa will offer several interactive activities.

Makers Moment, presented by Fujifilm instax, will serve as a roving photobooth where visitors can capture memories around the venue. At Letters to Makers, guests can write messages of appreciation and encouragement for participating artists.

Every attendee can also pick up the Festa Zine, which includes an event map, artist directory and stamp collection page. Visitors can fill the page while exploring different booths across the gallery.

In collaboration with PHLPost, guests can create personalised selfie stamps by taking or submitting a photo during the event. These custom postage stamps can then be used to send letters and gifts, turning a simple selfie into a functional souvenir.

Whether you are building an art collection, searching for a unique gift or simply looking for a creative weekend hangout, Makers Festa offers a chance to support local talent while connecting with the wider art community.

Makers Festa Class of 2026 will run from 10 am to 7 pm on August 15 and 16, 2026, at Gimenez Gallery, UP Diliman, Quezon City. Admission costs ₱100 per day. Artist announcements and updates will be available through @makers_festa on Instagram.
