It’s definitely a good day for ARMYs worldwide. The trailer for Jung Kook’s latest project, ‘JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL,’ has dropped. This documentary offers an emotional look into his journey. It reveals the pressures he faces while launching his solo career.

The film is set for a limited global screening on September 18. It lasts one hour and 33 minutes. The documentary is packed with never-before-seen interviews. It also includes behind-the-scenes footage. This footage chronicles Jung Kook’s eight-month journey in the K-pop industry.

With BTS on hiatus for mandatory military service, the members have been exploring their solo careers since June 2022. Jung Kook kicked off his solo journey with his hit single Seven, featuring American rapper Latto, followed by 3D with Jack Harlow.

In November 2023, he released his solo album ‘Golden.’ The lead single is ‘Standing Next To You.’ This single has over 141 million views on YouTube. It also has 700 million streams on Spotify. This achievement cements his status as a K-pop powerhouse.

Despite his success, Jung Kook faces inner turmoil. ‘JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL‘ reveals his struggles. The documentary explores his self-doubt. It also highlights the pressure of meeting expectations as a solo artist. “I’m suddenly nervous,” he shares. “I’ve never thought of myself as a genius.” He acknowledges his weaknesses and strives to improve. This offers fans a rare glimpse into his vulnerabilities.

The 70-minute-long trailer is a rollercoaster of emotions, showcasing Jung Kook’s high-energy performances, intense dance rehearsals, and candid moments that capture his relentless dedication. Viewers get to witness how he confronts the challenges of performing without his fellow BTS members. “I just follow my own compass. I always say this, but ARMY always fires me up.”

In addition to the documentary, Jung Kook has also released a fan-dedicated single titled Never Let Go in June as part of BTS’s anniversary celebrations. Fans can also catch him in Disney+’s recently released travel series, Are You Sure?!, which features Jung Kook and Jimin’s adventures in New York, Jeju Island, and Sapporo.
