BINI and SB19 Shine at Billboard K POWER 100

On August 27, 2024, BINI and SB19 made headlines as they accepted the Voices of Asia Award at Billboard Korea’s prestigious K POWER 100 event. The award recognizes their significant contributions to Filipino music and their role in promoting P-pop globally.

Honoring Filipino Talent on a Global Stage

During the ceremony, BINI expressed gratitude, stating, “This award reminds us that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Patuloy naming iaangat ang musikang Pilipino. Maraming-maraming salamat po.” They dedicated the honor to their team and loyal fans.

SB19 echoed similar sentiments, highlighting that the award belongs to the entire P-pop movement and every Filipino artist sharing their creativity worldwide. In an interview, Josh from SB19 shared their pride in BINI’s success, saying, “Masayang masaya po kami na parang na-co-consider na talaga ‘yung P-pop, kasi deserve po talaga nila.”

Both groups performed at the event, showcasing their hit songs. BINI delighted the audience with a medley of ‘Cherry On Top’ and ‘Pantropiko,‘ while SB19 energized the crowd with their popular track ‘GENTO.’

Their performances not only entertained but also highlighted the growing popularity of P-pop on the international stage.

A Milestone for P-pop

This event marks a significant milestone for both groups, emphasizing the rising influence of Filipino music on the global stage. Their achievements continue to inspire many and bring attention to the vibrant P-pop scene.

BINI is excited to perform at their Grand BINIverse concert. It will take place at the Araneta Coliseum on November 16 and 17. Meanwhile, SB19 recently won the Billboard Fan Army Face-Off 2024. This achievement further solidifies their status in the music industry.
