June 23, 2023

June 23, 2023
Aside from free admission, you can score brand-new books for as low as P20!

Dear fellow bookworms, it’s time to restock those shelves because the world’s biggest book sale is coming back to the Philippines, starting June 23 to July 3 at the PICC Forum Tent in Pasay City. Yes, after three long years of hiatus, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is back onsite in full capacity!

Filled with more than two million titles across different genres, authors, and publishers, you should certainly be up for a day of scavenger hunting for books that range from fiction, nonfiction, children’s literature, self-help, and many others that come at significant discounts.

As the co-founder of Big Bad Wolf Sale puts it: “We are thrilled to be returning to the Philippines after three years. Our return is a testament to the overwhelming support and passion for books that Filipinos have shown. We are bringing an unmatched collection of books at unbelievably affordable prices that will leave book lovers astounded. We are also very happy to again have the support of the Intellectual Property of the Philippines in our Book Sale this year.”

Big Bad Wolf 2023: What to Expect and How to Score Big Discounts

Get ready to be treated to a literary feast. To help you score the best deals at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, here’s everything you need to know about the world’s biggest book sale in the Philippines.

  1. Check the tent layout to know where you’re going.

Considering the vast array of books available, one can anticipate the venue to be exceedingly spacious—that’s a 4,800 square meter tent. It can be overwhelming once you reach the event area; hence, it is important to know the arrangement or layout of the venue.

To easily navigate your way as you start browsing the massive collection, note that the fiction section, including young adult, science fiction, thrillers, and comic books, is located on the right side of the entrance. At the same time, non-fiction, like cookbooks, self-help, art, and the like, is placed in the middle. Children’s literature is located on the left side for easy access to the food stalls, Metrobank Lounge, and restrooms.

In case you already have a specific title or author in mind, you can also go directly to the customer service area for assistance. Books from local authors and publishers can also be purchased onsite.

  1. Pre-register to stay updated with the latest promotions and get discounts.

With over two million books available, it can truly be tempting to shop to your heart’s content. No worries, though, because several discounts and promotions are available once you register with Big Bad Wolf. You may check the link here for details.

According to Big Bad Wolf’s Philippine partner Carolyn Chuaying: “We’re incredibly excited to host this year’s Big Bad Wolf Book sale at the PICC Forum Tent. It’s such a beautiful venue that truly captures the imagination with its picturesque surroundings and inviting atmosphere. I [also] highly recommend that visitors [pre-register or] scan to register for the best experience and to take advantage of all the available discounts and promotions.”

  1. Take advantage of the Big Bad Wolf’s Unique Price System.

Unlike the usual price tags labeled on books, this year, Big Bad Wolf will follow a unique price system where a letter will be placed on the tag. Books that are marked with “A” are all priced at P20; “B” for P40; “C” for P60; “D” for P100; and so on.

  1. Get up to 10% Cashback when using Metrobank Credit Card.

Are you a Metrobank credit or debit card holder? Here’s another good news for you: Big Bad Wolf Sale has teamed up with Metrobank for their instore sale, allowing all cardholders to access exclusive offers and discounts, including (1) for a minimum purchase of P3,000, Metrobank credit cardholders can avail of the 0% installment for three months; (2) for a minimum purchase of P5,000, Metrobank credit cardholders can score up to 10% cashback; (3) a special priority lane is dedicated to all Metrobank cardholders; and (4) qualified World, Platinum Mastercard, and Travel Platinum Visa cardholders can access the exclusive special lounge.

  1. Join Big Bad Wolf’s Book Haul contest and win a trolley full of books.

Make the most of this year’s Big Bad Wolf Book Sale by winning a slew of prizes, including a trolley full of books, by joining the event’s book haul contest. How to join?
