Turning a Classic Into Something Heartbreaking
Imagine taking a childhood nursery rhyme and flipping it into a raw, emotional anthem for lost love—that’s exactly what SB19’s Justin and indie singer-songwriter dwta have done with “Sampung Mga Daliri.” This fresh take, released under Sony Music Entertainment, is a folk-pop masterpiece that hits right in the feels. It tells the story of a love that fades, proving that sometimes, even holding hands can lose its meaning.
According to dwta, this track almost didn’t happen. “It was just an unfinished draft from 2023, but when I met Justin, the song practically called out to me. It just felt right,” she shares. Justin was equally moved, calling it “something special” the moment he heard it.
From Studio to Stage
What makes this collab even cooler is how organic it feels. Although their packed schedules meant they couldn’t record together in person, the duo still managed to create magic through online sessions. When they finally met IRL for shoots and trips, their connection became even stronger. “Justin is so down-to-earth—it felt like working with family,” dwta says.
Their live performance debut at the 10th Wish Music Awards on January 19 was a moment. Fans got an early taste of the song’s emotional depth, and teaser clips on social media, paired with a stunning single cover, only amped up the hype. The cover art, showing Justin reaching for dwta’s hand as she pulls away, says everything about love slipping through your fingers.
Where to Listen

To top it off, dwta is sharing a short-form miniseries and live performance clips that dive deeper into the song’s story. Don’t sleep on this one—it’s a collab that’ll stay with you.
