Starting May 11, every Saturday of summer, the Manila Bay skyline will burst with dazzling colors and patterns, perfectly synchronized with upbeat tracks, as the anticipated fireworks and musical show celebrates its 11th run.
Here’s Everything You Need to Know About the Upcoming 2024 Philippines International Pyromusical Competition
After the announcement on Facebook, many Filipinos have already shown their excitement for the upcoming Philippine International Pyromusical Competition. The event is set to take place against the stunning backdrop of the Seaside Boulevard of SM Mall of Asia.
As per the post: “The long wait is finally over! Get ready to be dazzled as the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition lights up the skies on May 11, 18, 25, June 1, and 8, 2024!”

To recall, the Pyromusical competition was paused in 2020 due to the pandemic. This year, it makes its highly anticipated comeback, with nine countries lighting up the sky in a dazzling display of pyrotechnics and music. The Philippines will kick off the excitement on the first Saturday and close the spectacular event on the last Saturday.
Competing countries include the Netherlands, Portugal, China, South Korea, Australia, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
- May 11 – Philippines (Sky Glitters Enterprise) and The Netherlands (Royal Fireworks)
- May 18 – South Korea (Faseecom Co Ltd.) and Australia (Skylighter Fireworx)
- May 25 – Belgium (H.C. Pyrotechnics) and Germany (Steffes Ollig Feurwork)
- June 1 – Portugal (Macedos Pirotechnico) and China (Liuyang Jinsheng Fireworks Co., Ltd.)
- June 8 – United Kingdom (Pyrotex Fireworks) and the Philippines (Platinum Fireworkds Inc.,)
As per schedule, two competitors will compete each Saturday, from May 11 to June 8. As the host country, the Philippines will not participate in the competition. Instead, it will showcase exhibition shows during the opening and closing ceremonies.
