Time to relive the feels of Kimi no Na wa, Weathering With You, and Suzume.
This is not a drill. The petition has been heard. Finally, the long-time dream of bringing the Japanese rock band to the Philippine shores is happening—no trips to alternate universes are needed.
RADWIMPS is set to come to the Philippines for the first time on May 1 and perform at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. This is part of the Asia leg of the band’s The Way Your Yawn, And the Outcry of Peace World Tour.
Here’s Everything You Need to Know About RADWIMPS’ First-Time Concert in the Philippines
One of the most iconic Japanese rock bands of today, RADWIMPS has been crafting the official soundtracks of the top animated films helmed by Makoto Shinkai. This includes the OSTs for Your Name (Kimi no Na Wa), Weathering with You, and Suzume no Tojimari.
For quite some time, Filipino fans of the band have been longing for the group to finally perform in the country. This 2024, PULP Live World is making this happen. In the official account of the event organizer, they have posted: “Brace yourselves for a grand escape into musical utopia! Get ready for cosmic melodies as Japanese rock icon RADWIMPS brings their RADWIMPS WORLD TOUR 2024 “The Way You Yawn, And the Outcry of Peace” to Manila. Get ready for their unique, genre-bending, expressive J-rock anthems to blow your mind.”

As per the live announcement: “Following the tremendous success of their sold-out world tour in 2023, the band has decided to return to Asia this April and May to perform for their devoted fans who were unable to secure tickets the previous year. This time, RADWIMPS will be playing at larger venues to accommodate the overwhelming demand.”
RADWIMPS recently dropped the EP Seikai early this year. The EP includes the track Seikai (18FES ver.), originally composed for the TV program NHK “RADWIMPS 18FES” in 2018. The song has now been officially recorded in a studio after five years, keeping the student chorus. The EP consists of 5 songs, featuring versions like Seikai Mixed 3-Part Chorus, Female 3-Part Chorus, and piano accompaniment. This release follows their previous singles Dai-Dan-En with Japanese rapper ZORN and Kanashibari featuring ao.
