Hey, ‘90s Kids, Fiesta Carnival is (Re)Opening this Year!

November 6, 2023

Excitement is in the air. Are you ready to relive the magic?

In the early ‘80s and ‘90s, the definition of fun meant one thing: carnivals. These adventures revolved around enchanting carousels, heart-pounding games, and, of course, magical performances and lively parades. And who would forget the mouthwatering treats on the sidelines? Ah, Filipino carnivals were undeniably the go-to destination for anyone seeking a good time—a timeless era of joy and excitement.

While there are plenty of carnivals around, there’s one in Cubao—er, Araneta City—that stands out among the many. Named “Manila’s Disneyland”, the Fiesta Carnival held a special place in the hearts of every child. It’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Is Fiesta Carnival Coming Back? Here’s What We Know So Far

While you can’t revert time, reports have been going around about the comeback of the renowned theme park. As per the representatives of Araneta City, the park is bound for reopening sometime in November of this year—perfect for the upcoming Christmas season.

According to sources, the all-new Fiesta Carnival will be located at the former location of Shopwise supermarket—the one directly across from Araneta Coliseum. This was conceptualized after the devastating fire that broke out at the Araneta Bus Terminal this year. Right now, the colorful signage of “FIESTA CARNIVAL” has already been put up, stirring excitement among both young Filipinos and the young at heart for its reopening.

Due to ongoing redevelopment in the vicinity, the new Fiesta Carnival is expected to have a limited operational duration. However, the Araneta Group executive shared that it’s slated to run for approximately one and a half years. During this time, it will occupy the entire 13,000 square meters of the former Shopwise building, offering a wide array of rides and activities for both adults and children. This means you can look forward to classic attractions such as bumper cars, indoor trains, and a variety of beloved carnival games, probably including old-time favorites like the Horror Train, Space Train, Merry-Go-Round, Caterpillar, Octopus, and more.

With the clock ticking, get ready to relive the magic and keep posted for the reopening of Fiesta Carnival. Bask in the joy of this one-of-a-kind amusement park and prepare to create new memories filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable experiences. The fun is just around the corner, and soon you’ll step into a world of thrills and nostalgia, where dreams come true and the spirit of adventure knows no bounds. Don’t miss out on this limited-time spectacle—it’s your ticket to a world of pure joy!
