Xiaomi Pad 8 Series puts power and portability first

March 6, 2026

March 6, 2026

The new Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro are built for users who want a tablet that can keep up with work, creativity, and entertainment without feeling bulky. Xiaomi says the lineup delivers its “most powerful and thinnest tablets” yet, pairing flagship-level performance with a slim 5.75mm body and 11.2-inch 3.2K display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits brightness.

That means sharper visuals, smoother scrolling, and a better overall experience whether you are editing content, multitasking, or just catching up on your favorite shows. Both tablets also pack a 9,200mAh battery, which should make them reliable daily drivers for students, young professionals, creatives, and even business users on the move.

On the software side, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which brings updated visuals, customizable widgets, improved multitasking, and productivity-focused features like a PC-level browser and integrated WPS Office PC. Xiaomi adds that system-level intelligence powered by Xiaomi HyperAI is designed to support smoother workflows and easier cross-device collaboration.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro leads the range with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, 67W HyperCharge, up to 512GB of storage, and a 50MP rear camera. Meanwhile, the standard Xiaomi Pad 8 offers a more accessible but still high-performance option with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, 45W turbo charging, and up to 256GB of storage. Xiaomi describes it as its “most powerful standard model to date globally,” which gives the base model a strong appeal for users who want serious value without jumping straight to the top tier.

Adding to the experience is the new Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro, a lightweight stylus designed for precise input, pinch gestures, and double-tap controls. Together with keyboard and cover accessories, the new tablets look clearly aimed at users who want laptop-like flexibility in a more compact form.

Xiaomi expands its AIoT ecosystem in the Philippines

Beyond the tablets, Xiaomi also introduced a broader smart device lineup that covers mobility, audio, wearables, charging, and tracking. The new range includes the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Series, Xiaomi Watch 5, Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W, Xiaomi Tag, and REDMI Buds 8 Pro.

Among the standouts, the Xiaomi Watch 5 brings Wear OS 6, Google apps, Google Wallet with NFC, and Google Gemini out of the box, making it one of Xiaomi’s most connected smartwatch releases yet. The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W also stands out for its super slim 6mm profile and 98g weight, offering a practical charging option for users who want something sleek enough to bring anywhere.

For everyday convenience, Xiaomi Tag supports either Apple Find My or Google Android Find Hub, helping users track essentials like keys, bags, or luggage. Then there is the REDMI Buds 8 Pro, which combines triple-driver audio, Dolby Audio, active noise cancellation up to 55dB, and long battery life for a more premium listening experience.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Series arrives in the Philippines alongside Xiaomi Watch 5, REDMI Buds 8 Pro, Xiaomi Tag, and more smart devices. See features, prices, and availability.

In terms of local pricing, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro 8GB+256GB is priced at P38,999, while the Xiaomi Pad 8 is priced at P29,999. The Xiaomi Watch 5 retails for P18,999, REDMI Buds 8 Pro for P3,999, and Xiaomi Tag starts at P899 for a single pack. Xiaomi says these devices are available through its official Shopee and Lazada stores, as well as Xiaomi stores nationwide.

Xiaomi’s latest launch shows how the brand is pushing harder into a full connected ecosystem, not just with phones, but with tablets and lifestyle devices that fit how people work, move, and stay plugged in today. For anyone looking to upgrade their setup in 2026, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series and its AIoT lineup make a strong case.
