Here’s What We Know So Far About ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2
HBO prepares for a gripping clash of power! Introducing contrasting perspectives and characters in House of the Dragon Season 2 trailers. Premiering on June 17, this eight-episode series continues from Season 1’s finale. It’s where Aemond kills Rhaenyra’s son, Lucerys, and his dragon.
As tensions escalate, the blacks and greens gather forces, dragons, and allies to prepare for the fierce battle. Additionally, the trailers hint at a return to Winterfell! The wintry stronghold of the Starks now governed by Cregan Stark in the prequel.
Adapted from George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon premiered in August 2022 with ten episodes. Its immediate renewal followed its positive reception from the series’ fans.

Adding more tension to the series are newcomers! Still undecided on which side to choose? It’s a tough decision, isn’t it? You’ve got until June 17 to mull it over—and do keep in mind Daemon Targaryen’s warning to houses in Westeros that choose poorly: “Your house burns.”
