Olivia Rodrigo gives us five new tracks on Guts (spilled) deluxe album, and we could not be more ‘obsessed’!
The Filipino-American singer-songwriter first announced the news of a deluxe edition of her sophomore album, Guts (Spilled), during the first night of her show in Chicago last March 19, surprising the crowd by revealing a sign that read “Guts Deluxe Out Friday.”
On March 22, Olivia Rodrigo released her deluxe album Guts (Spilled) on all streaming platforms. The album quickly topped the iTunes U.S. and Spotify charts. The featured songs were hidden tracks that some fans had obtained when they bought the limited vinyl editions of Guts.
“Obsessed” quickly became a fan-favorite by being the highest performing song among the release deluxe tracks. It peaked at #2 on US iTunes on the day of its release.
Rodrigo also performs ‘Obsessed’ as part of her setlist on the Guts World Tour.
The five additional tracks of Guts (Spilled) include:
- obsessed
- girl i’ve always been
- scared of my guitar
- stranger
- so american

Rodrigo even went as far to give us a 3-minute MV for “Obsessed,” which has currently over 5 million views on Youtube.

And not only that, but Guts (Spilled) actually includes the first ever ‘love’ song that she released in her music career— the final track on the deluxe album, “so american.”
Because Rodrigo is mostly known for writing heartbreak songs ever since she released her debut album, Sour, her decision to write a love song is bound to spark curiosity and delight from her listeners. Especially when reports seem to say that the singer-songwriter wrote it after the release of her original album, Guts. The song may also be inspired by her rumored boyfriend, British actor Louis Partridge.
Currently, Guts (Spilled) has gained over 18.423 million streams on Spotify as of its fourth day, and with the five additional songs expected to surpass 50 million streams this year (via @SpotifyOlivia on Twitter).
While these five songs may not necessarily add to the lyrical theme/story of Guts, as bonus tracks, they tie the album well enough with an ending that definitely alludes to a third album soon.
