Released in the first week of November, Olivia Rodrigo’s Can’t Catch Me Now is now available to listen to, especially to all Hunger Games fans who are now excited for the release of the most awaited movie prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

This heartfelt ballad, co-written by the Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter alongside producer Daniel Nigro, provides a poignant glimpse into the film’s themes and atmosphere, delivering a moving musical experience that will surely captivate the hearts of fans and evoke a deep emotional connection to the upcoming movie.

‘Can’t Catch Me Now’: The Official Soundtrack of ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’

Fans were obviously surprised upon the announcement of Olivia Rodrigo—and the unexpected release of Can’t Catch Me Now, which is one of the 17 songs on the soundtrack of the upcoming Hunger Games prequel movie. The lineup also includes tracks by the lead character, Rachel Zegler, and other young artists in the folk and Americana genres.

Coinciding with the film’s theatrical debut, the full soundtrack is scheduled for release on November 17. According to a Lionsgate representative, Olivia Rodrigo’s song may be considered by Academy Award voters to vie for the Best Original Song category. It is reported to play during the movie’s credits and within the film itself, meeting the prerequisite for an Oscar nomination.

Based on the 2020 novel by Jennifer Collins, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is a prequel set 64 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as a tribute during the 10th Hunger Games. This captivating tale follows the young Coriolanus Snow, long before he became the ruler of Panem, and his relationship with District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird, a member of the traveling musician troupe known as Covey.

This highly-anticipated prequel to the Hunger Games series provides a captivating window into the dystopian realm of Panem, offering a thrilling portrayal of the struggle for survival and a glimpse into the origins of the Hunger Games. The film stars Rachel Zegler (Lucy Gray Baird), Tom Blyth (Coriolanus Snow), Josh Andres River (Sejanus Plinth), Hunter Schafer (Tigris Snow), Peter Dinklage (Casca Highbottom), Viola Davis (Dr. Volumnia Gaul), Ashley Liao (Clemensia Dovecote), and many more.

May the odds be ever in your favor as you get ready for the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes release. Dive into the epic prequel and elevate your journey with Olivia Rodrigo’s Can’t Catch Me Now.
