Coffee Dojo — Check Out This Japanese-Inspired Coffee Shop

July 11, 2024

July 11, 2024

For many coffee enthusiasts, their love for coffee goes beyond just a drink—it’s a daily ritual. Their love goes beyond just a drink. It’s a daily ritual. They curate their home coffee nooks and search for the perfect coffee experience.

In Japan, coffee is more than a beverage; it’s a cultural passion celebrated with meticulously brewed cups enjoyed at leisurely cafes. This passion has traveled across borders, influencing coffee scenes worldwide, including in the Philippines.

Enter Coffee Dojo — a cozy café inspired by Japan’s coffee culture!

No need to hop on a plane to Tokyo! Coffee Dojo brings the charm and elegance of Japanese coffee traditions right to your neighborhood. Step inside and experience the magic.

A Taste of Japan

The coffee shop draws you in as much as it soothes the senses. Its predominant use of wooden surfaces, which are the subject of countless Instagram feeds, gives you that ‘Dojo’ vibe that reminds you of Japanese interiors.

Aside from their minimalistic branding, what sets Coffee Dojo apart from the other coffee shops in Metro Manila is their ability to incorporate the culture of Japan in that very first sip.

Marco Chu, the owner, passionately shared how his menu draws inspiration from the unique coffee cultures of Tokyo and Kyoto. They opened their first branch during the pandemic on July 18, 2021, and have since been expanding.

The finest blended beans are meticulously extracted to create latte drinks that are simple yet bursting with complex flavors. Each cup is a testament to Coffee Dojo’s passion, offering an elevated coffee experience in a space designed for pure relaxation.

Signature Drinks and Meals

Sourced from Uji, Kyoto itself, their signature drink is the Matcha Latte.

Rich in green goodness, this drink is highly recommended as a substitute for coffee for its numerous benefits: high in antioxidants, boosts metabolism, improves cognitive function, reduces inflammation, and protects the skin.

Another item they will launch soon is the Fuji Creme Latte, topped with Fuji Creme Foam inspired by the Mount Fuji snowcap.

For the interest of their future customers, here is a visual breakdown of their menu:

There’s so much more to look forward to! Soon, Coffee Dojo plans to launch a coffee cart that is available for rent for big events.

With the upcoming opening of their newest branch in Quezon City, they envision expanding further and becoming one of the top specialty coffee shops in the country with their unique offerings.

Their store hours are from 10 am to 10 pm. You may visit them at KM14 MacArthur Highway, Malinta, Valenzuela City, and stay tuned for the grand opening date of their Quezon City branch.
