After hinting at a joint project months ago, the Dirty Linen actress has finally unveiled the teaser video for the upcoming song titled My Love, featuring none other than the South Korean actor and singer Seo In-guk, known for his roles in Reply 1997 and Death’s Game. Set to be released on March 2, the collaboration was officially announced during an exclusive press conference and listening party, coinciding with Francine’s 20th birthday.
Originally composed in Korean by Seo In-guk with a rap section by South Korean artist RAVI, the song has been adapted into an English version and transformed into a duet specifically for Francine. Initially unveiled in 2022, the track is a notable inclusion in Seo In-guk’s LOVE&LOVE album.
Here’s What We Know So Far About Francine Diaz and Seo In-guk’s Song Collab
On January 27, an intimate event hosted by Denise Laurel was held for Francine Diaz and Seo In-guk to share how the collab came to a realization. As per Francine’s manager, John Ling, the idea sparked when he and In-guk met, and the singer-actor proposed the idea of working together on a song. Hence the birth of My Love.
Known for her role as Cassie Mondragon in the hit afternoon series Kadenang Ginto, Francine has truly become a household name on Philippine TV, charming audiences in projects like Dirty Linen and Fracture. Seo In-guk, recognizing her bubbly and sweet nature, tweaked My Love into a romantic and fresh duet to fit their personalities.
Aside from Reply 1997, Seo In-guk has also led Shopping King Louie, Doom at Your Service, Café Minamdang, and most recently the adaptation of the renowned fantasy reincarnation web series Death’s Game. Of this opportunity to have worked with one of South Korea’s leading men, Francine can’t help but gush, as she posted on her Instagram: “Pinch me, because dreams really do come true! Honored to announce my collaboration with the incredible Seo In-guk! Get ready to feel the magic of our new song My Love. March 2, can’t come soon enough!”
