Get Ready to Headbang! Fall Out Boy is Coming to Manila for a One-Night Concert

October 4, 2023

October 4, 2023
Sugar, we’re definitely going down swinging on December 9 at the Araneta Coliseum.

After a decade-long wait, the iconic American pop-rock band, Fall Out Boy, is set to make its comeback to the Philippines. As a part of the highly anticipated So Much For 2 (our) Dust world tour, the multi-award-winning group is gearing up to set the stage ablaze at the Araneta Coliseum, promising a night filled with electrifying performances and nostalgia.

The Grammy-winning band behind iconic hits like “Thanks fr th Mmrs,” “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” “Dance, Dance”, and “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” first graced the Manila concert scene in 2007. Equally successful shows followed their triumphant debuts in 2009 and 2013.

Currently composed of vocalist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, drummer Andy Hurley, and guitarist/backing vocalist Joe Trohman, Fall Out Boy marked their return with the release of their eighth album, So Much for Stardust, which hit the shelves last March.

The highly anticipated album, their first in five years, generated immense anticipation from fans across the globe. Notably, its singles, “Love from the Other Side,” “Heartbreak Feels So Good,” and “Hold Me Like a Grudge,” achieved such remarkable success that the album soared to the top of both the UK Rock and Metal Albums chart and the Billboard US Top Rock Albums chart.

Most recently, the band collaborated with Taylor Swift on “Electric Touch”, which was part of the re-recording of the “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” album.

With such success, many Filipino Youngbloods (Fall Out Boy fans) have been clamoring for the band to return to the Philippines. And as if on cue, earlier this month, Fall Out Boy replied to a fan—who requested to bring their tour to the country—on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “we hear ya loud and clear”.

On September 15, the band officially revealed the details of their upcoming tour. Ticket sales began on September 24, with an exclusive pre-sale window for Live Nation Philippines members on September 23. Ticket pricing offers various options, ranging from P1,750 for General Admission, P3,500 for Upper Box, P5,250 for Floor Standing, P8,250 for Lower Box Regular, P9,250 for Lower Box Premium, to P10,750 for the Patron section. Are you ready to rock with Fall Out Boy’s long-awaited return to Manila?
