Fuel your productivity at McDonald’s—a convenient co-working space with WiFi and exclusive treats and app deals.
Working on your research paper? Want to discuss and collaborate further with your classmates but got no learning space to stay in? Here’s some good news for you: McDonald’s opens once again its Night Classroom in all participating franchises around Metro Manila starting March 28 and April 9 at VisMin stores.
Recognizing the importance of education and the difficulties faced by many students right now with the shift from online to onsite, McDonald’s provides a safe and conducive learning environment for late-night study sessions from 8 pm to 6 am daily.
McDonald’s Night Classroom started in 2020 when more than 200 McDonald’s Party Areas were transformed into McDonald’s Classrooms to cater to both teachers and students who need a work-friendly place to do their online classes—a solution that hoped to cater to the needs during the height of the pandemic.
Now, with classes back onsite, McDonald’s continues to elevate the program to better utilize these party areas, particularly at nighttime. Starting last March 28, 60 participating McDonald’s stores near big universities in Metro Manila began to welcome students for their late-night study sessions from 8 pm to 6 am daily.
Here’s Why You Should Consider Doing Your Late-Night Study at McDonald’s
Aside from the learning space and uninterrupted internet access powered by Smart Communications Inc., McDonald’s Night Classroom is also equipped with solo study and comprehensive table setups—perfect for individual review and group work.
As the AVP and Head of Smart Broadband and Consumer WiFi at Smart James R. By providing world-class connectivity, we aim to empower them to make the most of their teaching and learning moments and truly live more today.”
On top of this learning assistance, Coca-Cola also gives free meals to all Night Classroom attendees who show up on their reserved time slot from April 16 to May 31. They must show their valid IDs and reservation forms to get a free Burger McDo paired with a 16oz Coke McFloat.
Coca-Cola Philippines President Antonio del Rosario shared that: “Coca-Cola Philippines is proud to be a partner of McDonald’s Night Classroom program and help provide students with a comfortable and productive space for their afterschool studying. It is important to continuously empower the youth and education is the key to a better future. We are committed to supporting initiatives that empower and inspire young people.”
Aside from that, attendees of the Night Classroom can also claim big deals and discounts on their McDonald’s favorites through the exclusive deals made available from the McDonald’s App—allowing students to maximize productivity furthermore and inspiring them to complete their academic tasks. As per the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s Philippines Oliver Rabatan, “McDonald’s has always been a safe and trusted space to create feel-good moments for all—whether you’re a family eating out, an employee getting their coffee fix before work, or a student looking for a place to pull an all-nighter. Students have made McDonald’s their go-to place for meetings or study sessions, so McDonald’s Night Classroom is another way for us to be there for them and support them with their schoolwork.”
Teachers and students who would want to avail of the free services provided by McDonald’s must reserve a slot by visiting any of the participating McDonald’s stores here. Walk-ins are tolerated as long as there are still available slots—and this comes on a first-come, first-serve basis.
