After seven years, the South Korean singer returns to the Philippines for his much anticipated ‘The Light Year’ solo concert.

The OGs are finally coming back. After their jaw-dropping comeback performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards last November 23 in Osaka, Japan, fans are buzzing with excitement for more from BIGBANG. And Filo VIPs, here’s your 2025 treat: BIGBANG’s Taeyang is headed to the Philippines for a solo concert!

Like a holiday gift, show promoter Karpos just recently announced that Taeyang’s The Light Year tour will light up the Mall of Asia Arena on February 22, 2025.

Here’s Everything You Need to Know About Taeyang’s Solo Concert in the Philippines

Taeyang’s Manila concert follows a string of successful shows, including two sold-out nights at Seoul’s Olympic Hall, where fellow BIGBANG members G-Dragon and Daesung made surprise appearances. His return to Manila marks seven years since he last performed here during his White Night tour in 2017 at the Araneta Coliseum. And fans can’t help but feel more excited as the VIBE hitmaker takes the stage once more.

Known as the “Kings of K-Pop,” BIGBANG has been known as one of the most influential and best-selling groups in the history of K-pop. The group has revolutionized the genre, performing at sold-out stadiums across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Their timeless hits—BANG BANG BANG, Fantastic Baby, Lies, and Let’s Not Fall in Love—are etched in the hearts of millions worldwide.

As a solo artist, Taeyang has been creating music that redefines R&B in the K-pop scene. He has received multiple awards for hits like Eyes, Nose, Lips. His album, White Night, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Album Chart. In 2023, he collaborated with BTS’s Jimin on the song VIBE. This track became a global sensation and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global Chart.
