The single came right on the heels after the Filipina queen made international waves, snagging the most covered RuPeter badge.
Marina Summers is bringing all the fire as she heats things up on the first episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World. The runner-up from Drag Race Philippines Season 1 came strutting in with a powerful Katipunera-inspired outfit in red and bronze sequins and gold chainmail by Jude Macasinag.
Stealing the spotlight with her electrifying take on Maymay Entrata’s chart-topper Amakabogera, the Filipina drag queen elevated her already epic performance by seamlessly incorporating poi choreography. She not only won the challenge but also nailed the Lip-Sync for The World against France’s La Grande Dame, snagging the first win of the season and the coveted RuPeter Badge.

After her astounding performance, the only Asian and Filipino contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World dropped the official music video for AMAFILIPINA—a three-minute version of her abridged performance. The video featured Marina Summers’ iconic outfit designed by Filipino fashion designer Jaz Cerezo. It became a YouTube sensation, trending and racking up over a hundred thousand views as of this writing.
Released via Tarsier Records, the track took inspiration from Maymay Entrata’s Amakabogera and was translated to English for the international audience. “Born on an island and raised by the seas, Gold in my skin, I’m the Filipina queen. Amafilipina, I’m rising like a winnah; Ain’t nobody bringing this Morena to the ground.”
Praised not only by the show’s judges but also by the original singer of the iconic song, Marina received a shoutout from Maymay. In a personal message shared by Marina, Maymay exclaimed, “OMGGGGGG! Grabe ang galing niyo ho! Kakapanuod ko pa lang ng performance nyo ho, ang galing ho sobra! Congratulations po.”
Early this year, Marina was among the first to be revealed as part of the show’s lineup, marking her as the first drag queen to represent the country in an international All-Stars edition. She’s in the company of other drag superstars from around the globe, including UK favorites like Choriza May, Jonbers Blonde, Tia Kofi, and Gothy Kendoll. This season, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World will take home a cash prize of £50,000 (around P3.5 million).
