Emma Stone claimed her second Best Actress, bringing an end to Lily Gladstone’s historic run.
Results are in—and once again, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer claimed the highest number of awards, securing seven awards out of 13 nominations. It is closely followed by Yorgos Lanthimos’ female take on the Frankenstein story, Poor Things, with four wins, including Emma Stone’s Best Actress.
Aired live on ABC, with comedian Jimmy Kimmel back as host for the fourth time, the 96th Academy Awards recognized the outstanding cinematic achievements of the year, as determined by the Academy’s voting membership.

Aside from Emma Stone, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS secured their second Oscar win, making the American singer and songwriter the youngest two-time winner in history. Meanwhile, Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki also secured his second Academy Award for The Boy and the Heron, making him the oldest winner in the animated feature film category.
