Looking for Extra Income? Here’s How You Can Score Referral Fees with GCash!

October 9, 2023

Get up to P65,000 referral fee, depending on the job listing!

If you’re on the hunt for some extra income to finance your passion projects, exciting adventures, or that eagerly anticipated concert, look no further. GCash has introduced an enticing new feature for you: job referrals. This innovative opportunity offers you the chance to not only bolster your bank account but also open doors to connect with job listings that align with the interests and aspirations of people you know.

Wait, there’s a job listing on GCash? Yes, your favorite go-to e-wallet adds up another exciting feature that allows you to find a job for yourself or for your friend—or a friend of a friend of a friend who’s actively searching for work.

How Does GCash Job Listing Work—And How Can You Earn from It?

In addition to its myriad functionalities like sending money, investing, shopping, making payments, and even planting trees, GCash, the leading Philippine mobile payments service provider, has now expanded its offerings to include job opportunities through a robust referral system.

Amidst the backdrop of the evolving employment landscape in the Philippines, where job seekers face various challenges in securing stable work opportunities, GCash’s foray into job referrals comes as a timely and welcome addition. With economic conditions and workforce dynamics constantly shifting, this innovative feature provides a convenient and accessible way for both job seekers and employers to connect, fostering a more agile and responsive employment ecosystem.

As GCash Chief People Officer Rober Gonzales puts it: “The launch of GJobs is an extension of our ‘Finance for All’ vision. Not only are we helping Filipinos find their dream jobs, but we are also helping people earn by referring their friends or family to these job vacancies. GJobs not only helps job seekers and employers connect, we are making the entire hiring process rewarding even for the referrers.”

What’s even more fascinating is how effortlessly you can explore this feature. (1) Simply glide through the app, then tap on “View All”. (2) Scroll down and click “Enjoy”. (3) Next, tap on “Jobs” to access a wide array of job listings, each accompanied by its corresponding referral fee, making the process quick and straightforward.

Reportedly, up to P2.34 million in referral fees are up for grabs—from which you can earn from P1,000 to P65,000 per referral. Remarkably, you have the potential to accumulate up to six referral credits for each available job position, allowing you to extend this opportunity to a maximum of six individuals within your contact network whom you think are fit for the job.

Now here’s a crucial point to keep in mind: you’ll receive the referral fee only when the candidate you’ve referred has been successfully hired and remains with the company for a specific duration, which can extend up to 90 days. This underscores the importance of being absolutely certain about the individuals you’re recommending, including their name and email address, as there is a possibility you may not receive the referral fee if the candidate resigns before the designated payout date.

Now, if the first referral doesn’t work out, don’t let it deter you. That’s okay because GCash’s job referral feature is all about creating connections and exploring new opportunities. So, go ahead, take another chance, and let your network flourish. You never know; your next referral might just open the door to something even more incredible down the line!
