GOT7’s BamBam is Coming Back to Manila to Hold His First Solo Concert!

August 1, 2023

August 1, 2023
Mark the date, that’s September 22 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Ahgases, get your lightsticks ready because BamBam is coming back to the Philippines for his first solo concert. Yes, the Thai member of the renowned South Korean group GOT7 is slated to perform at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 22 for his AREA 52 World Tour.

Officially announced on July 12, the GOT7 rapper shared that the tour kicks off in Seoul on September 16 before he flies to Manila on September 22 for his much-anticipated performance. After the Philippines, he is scheduled to perform in Macau, Malaysia, and Thailand, with other destinations to be added later.

AREA 52: BamBam The 1st World Tour

Last year, the South Korean boy group behind the artistically conceptualized You Calling My Name, Not By The Moon, and Hand Carry made a comeback with their self-titled album and music video for NANANA after departing from their longtime agency JYP Entertainment to pursue solo careers.

In the same month last year, BamBam held a press conference and fan meeting in Cebu and Manila, where he shared his Philippine bucket list, personal plans, and, of course, how he misses his Ahgases. “I feel really good. I’ve been waiting to perform, and I’ve been waiting to meet up with you guys like this. I don’t know how I spent the last two years without meeting everyone and just being home with my cats. I’m really happy that everything came back to normal, almost.” He also participated in the K-Pop Masterz Ep. 1 in Manila concert, alongside fellow GOT7 member Jackson Wang and the K-pop group TREASURE.

In 2021, BamBam made his solo debut as an artist with the EP riBBon, which featured the title track of the same name. The year after, he released an EP titled B, which introduced the lead singles Slow Mo and Who Are You, featuring SeulgiI of Red Velvet. In early March of this year, BamBam finally released his first full-length album, Sour & Sweet, which crossed 96,000 album sales in its first week.

Among the talented members of GOT7, six have already graced the shores of the Philippines to engage in captivating shows and unforgettable fan meets. Looking back, the first fan signing event was hosted by Youngjae in July 2022, followed by Jackson’s electrifying presence at the K-pop Masterz Ep. 1 concert. In August 2022, Yugyeom delighted fans with his sensational solo show, while JAY B and Jinyoung had their remarkable moments during their respective performances in Manila in October 2022 and February 2023. The anticipation among Ahgases is palpable as they eagerly await the opportunity to finally meet Mark Tuan in person, who has yet to grace the Philippine stage.

Don’t miss this chance to get charmed by BamBam’s irresistible visuals and vocals. Mark your calendars and make sure to secure your tickets for AREA 52: BamBam The 1st World Tour. Keep posted for ticket prices, seat plans, and selling dates.
