The ‘Pantropiko’ hitmaker BINI now dethrones SB19 as the most streamed P-pop group on Spotify.
From TikTok to Facebook to Spotify, BINI’s presence is undeniable in our feeds, and for good reason. BINI’s music is not like other viral hits. It has a special magic that we can’t resist.
Moreover, their lively, youthful, bold, and sweet music has earned them a prominent spot in the local music scene, bringing a fresh vibe to the burgeoning Philippine pop scene. Additionally, they won the “Rising Star” title at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music and had the highest number of monthly listeners among Filipino pop groups.
BINI Makes P-Pop History as the Most Streamed Group on Spotify!
As of this writing, BINI has gathered 2.1 million spotify monthly listeners. Their viral hit Pantropiko reaching 15 million listens and their new single Salamin, Salamin, hitting 3 million. When BINI announced their first solo concert, BINIVERSE, all tickets sold out in less than two hours. This remarkable feat underscores their immense popularity.
The 8-member girl group is set to perform on June 28 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. With their captivating visuals, dynamic performances, and extravagant production, BLOOMS are now calling for an additional day or a larger venue, especially for those who couldn’t get tickets.
BINI debuted on June 11, 2021, with their single “Born to Win,”. It was also adapted into Bahasa, Japanese, Thai, and Spanish versions. The all-girl group consists of eight members: Mikha, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Jhoanna, and Sheena. They have undergone extensive training with professional vocal coaches including Kitchy Molina and dance coach Mickey Perz, as well as South Korean coaches from MUdoctor Academy.
BINI has gained attention with their catchy tunes and relatable singles. Examples of their singles include Na, Na, Na and Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi. Their latest EP, Talaarawan, features tracks like Karera and Salamin. It also includes Pantropiko and Na Na Nandito Lang.
During their acceptance speech at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music Awards, the P-pop group vowed to keep giving their best and taking P-pop to the global stage. “We will continue to strive for excellence at dadalhin po natin ang P-pop sa world stage. Hindi lang po namin ni-re-represent ang group namin kung ‘di lahat po ng P-pop groups po sa ating bansa.”
BINI is slated to appear on Show It All, a performance exchange program hosted by EXO’s Lay Zhang, aimed at aspiring idols. International girl groups mentor trainees competing for a spot in a new girl group under Lay Zhang’s record label. Alongside BINI, G22, Dolla, PiXXiE, and Boys World will also participate in the show.
